Mary Ann Balco Berry celebrates art with paintings that are whimsical. Her work is happy, colorful and beguiling. Many paintings tell a story. Some are local city scenes. Her art is a work of love and reflects joy and happiness. She is a self taught artist, working with acrylics.

As a writer and photographer, Berry was a contributing editor to several newspapers throughout her career. As Director of Development at Good Counsel Academy High School, she contributed her writing and photography skills.

Berry is a graduate of SUNY with a degree in Writing and Cultural Studies. She is the author of three books, “The B Line”, “Telling Tails out of School…The Autobiography of an Apartment Dwelling City Cat”, and “Tell Me A Story”.

Berry’s award winning work has been exhibited at the White Plain Woman’s Club, White Plains Art Festival, O’Silas Gallery, Hamptons Gallery II, Barnes and Noble, Katonah Library, Michael Friedman Gallery, Lazarus Gallery, Rye Nature Conservancy, Old Greenwich Art Festival and Westport Arts Center.

She has served on the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Art Society and holds memberships in Arts Westchester, Westport Art Society, Art Society of Old Greenwich, Bruce Museum, Katonah Museum of Art, New York Historical Society, Frick Collection and New York Metropolitan Museum of Art.
